Keep your trimmed clips.

Export clips to a folder, or trim your Apple Photos originals in place and add them to an album. In-place trims do not make duplicate originals; you can use Revert to Original in Photos. Export exact-cut clips when you want separate files.

Review the clip changes first. Check one export before applying the rest.
